Day-by-Day Itinerary
Make your own way to your gateway international airport to check-in for your flight to Nairobi. Enjoy complementary meals and services on your overnight flight.
Welcome to Nairobi! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, or, in case of early morning arrival, you can join one of our optional tours.
Overnight in Nairobi
This morning you will head on an early safari briefing at around 7:15 AM. From there you will depart Nairobi after breakfast and travel towards Kenya's fertile highlands. Head down the rift escarpment on the road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. On the way, you may see the charming chapel built at the foot of the escarpment. Pass the impressive Longonot Earth Satellite Station as you drive across the valley to Narok. Continue your journey across acres of wheat and barley before you reach the Masai Mara in time for lunch. After lunch set off on your first game drive; return to the lodge as the sun sets.
Overnight in Masai Mara National Reserve Area
Following an early morning breakfast, prepare for an exhilarating game drive. From there you will return to the camp around mid-morning. Enjoy lunch at the camp and take the chance to relax before you head on a second game drive and visit the Masai Village.
Overnight in Masai Mara National Reserve Area
Depart the Masai Mara after breakfast. Today you will travel across the ‘breadbasket’ of Kenya, where acres of wheat and barley are scattered across the landscape as you head north to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of the Maasai land. From there you will drive across the vast plains of the Rift Valley, keeping an eye out for herds of giraffes and gazelles as you head up the Mai -Mahiu. Arrive at your destination around midday. Once in the park, view game en-route to the lodge. Following lunch, depart for a game drive; return to your lodge as the sun sets. The National Park, known for its range of birdlife, will give you the opportunity to see flamingoes. This Park is also home to Black and White rhinos along with the endangered Rothschild Giraffe.
Overnight in Lake Elementaita Area
Following an early breakfast, travel to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride. Proceed to leave the Rift Valley behind as you travel to Nairobi for an early lunch (or picnic lunch depending on road conditions). Continue your journey south towards Amboseli, arriving at your lodge by late afternoon.
Overnight in Amboseli National Park Area
Today you may get ready for a full-day game drive. Later in the day, you will have a picnic lunch. Return to the lodge by 4:00 PM, taking the time to unwind in your room or lounge — or enjoy a quick dip in the pool before dinner.
Overnight in Amboseli National Park Area
Following an early morning breakfast, catch your last views of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro as you depart Amboseli. From there, turn north across the beautiful and seemingly never-ending Athi Plains. You will arrive in the bustling capital of Nairobi by mid-day. Once in the city, you will be dropped off in the city centre or at the airport for ongoing travel arrangements.
**The earliest flight departure today should be after 1600 hours.

Shopping Trip to Utamaduni and the Kazuri Bead Factory
Utamaduni, meaning culture, tradition, folklore, is situated close to the Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre, Daphne Sheldrick Animal Orphanage, the Nairobi National Park, and Kazuri Beads. It encompasses the best of African crafts and is dedicated to supporting craftsmen from all over Kenya. It supports various charities including the KSPCA and Street boys (who have their own shop in the center). There is also a small restaurant where one may stop for a quick bite. Later, visit the Kazuri bead factory, a producer of top-quality handmade and hand-painted ceramic jewelry and pottery. The workshop has been set up to empower women in need by employing them and teaching them a skill. *Please note that this excursion is not available on Sundays and Public Holidays.
Half Day Out of Africa Excursion
Follow in the footsteps of Karen Blixen as you travel towards the Ngong Hills. You will feel swept immediately onto the film set of Out of Africa the moment you arrive. The old colonial farmhouse is simple, housing a few items that Karen Blixen chose and once enjoyed herself. There are also the colorful gardens to explore, where several old coffee machines have laid untouched for decades. From here you will visit the Giraffe Centre, where the highly endangered Rothschild giraffe lives in peace. With an elevated viewing of the feeding platform, this tour is a wonderful option for children.
