Your Journey

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Today make your own way to the airport to depart on your overnight flight to Japan. Enjoy in-flight meals and services.

Overnight on board

Welcome to Tokyo! In 1868, the Japanese Emperor moved the national capital from Kyoto to Edo, which was then renamed Tokyo (\"Eastern Capital\"). Many parts of Tokyo were destroyed in the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, and by the air raids in 1945 during WWII. The city was rebuilt and now offers a wide variety of choices for shopping, entertainment, culture, and dining, along with a variety of green spaces for visitors. Upon arrival at Narita International Airport, you will be met by our representative and assisted on an airport bus to transfer to your hotel. Later in the afternoon, you will start to explore this fascinating country by taking a trip on the metro (tickets included) to Shinjuku District, where you will experience the lively energy of the city. Shinjuku is one of the major nightlife districts in Tokyo. After the visit, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and return to your hotel by metro with the guide.

Overnight in Tokyo

NOTE: The visit to Shinjuku may take place on the day of arrival or after the panoramic city tour on the following day, depending on passengers' flight arrival times.

In the morning, you will head on a five-hour tour with your guide to explore this amazing city, known for its hustle and bustle and extremely modern districts that coexist with quiet, peaceful areas. Enjoy a brief stop at the Zojoji Temple to snap a beautiful photo of the Tokyo Tower. Pay attention to the hundreds of Jizos, stone traditional protecting deities who will guide you on your travels. From there you will head to Shibuya, a junction that is said to be the most crowded in the world. The Meiji Temple is dedicated to Emperor Meiji, his wife, and their spirits. You will continue to your bus along the elegant street of Omotesandoas you discover the most beautiful part of the Imperial Palace and the gardens. Stop to visit the famous Nijubashi Bridge. You will pass through the district of Akihabara, the “electric town” known for its fascinating icons from the popular Japanese Manga and Anime culture and then see Kokugikan, the Sumo stadium, home to this Japanese sport. You will also visit the Buddhist temple of Sensoji, the oldest and most important temple in Tokyo, with its 55-meter high pagoda. Then, take some free time to visit the traditional commercial street of Nakamise in the Asakusa District. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before returning to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight in Tokyo

Today you will make your way to the breathtaking area of Mount Fuji as you travel through the scenic countryside of Japan. First, you will see the Arakurayama Sengen Park, with its beautiful pagodas along with some of the most famous views of Mount Fuji. After this, travel to Kawaguchiko with its tiny houses, flowers, and mountains, along with its gorgeous lake. Upon arrival, you will visit the Fuji Sengen Shrine, set in a magical site surrounded by tall trees, and the starting point of the traditional pilgrimage to the mountain. At the shrine, express thanks for being able to visit this wonderful place. The visit will also include a delightful boat trip on Lake Kawaguchi. After lunch (not included), start to ascend Mount Fuji on the road that will take you to the “fifth station”, surrounded by spectacular forests and extraordinary views, to a height of 2,305 meters. From there you will make your way back to Kawaguchiko, where you will have time to stroll around the lake. You will stay at a traditional Japanese hotel and get the opportunity to enjoy the ONSEN (public baths).

Overnight in Kawaguchiko

NOTE: In the winter, the route up to Mount Fuji will be closed due to snow or other weather conditions. During this season, we will ascend as far as the authorized point.

In the morning, you will continue along the scenic road which is bordered by lakes to Iyashi No Sato Nenba, a tiny village destroyed by a typhoon in 1966 and later restored as a traditional open-air mountain village and museum. Its traditional houses have been transformed into arts and crafts shops, restaurants, and traditional museums. You will then see the Shiraito Falls, considered to be one of the most attractive sites in Japan, with a waterfall height of 150 meters. From there you will visit Nagoya, the fourth largest city in Japan on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Here, you will visit the Toyota Museum (admission included); this magnificent site is a must-see for motor lovers. Finally, you will travel to Kyoto, where you will spend the night.

Overnight in Kyoto

Spend the day exploring the fascinating city of Kyoto, which served as the capital of Japan from 794 to 1868, home to the Imperial Court. During World War II, Kyoto was the only major Japanese city to escape the bombardments, which is demonstrated as it still preserves its wealth of artistic heritage. Make your way to the outskirts of Kyoto to Arashiyama, where you will cross the Togetsukyo Bridge (Bridge Over the Moon), which boasts fantastic views. You will visit the Tenryuji Temple, one of the “five major Zen temples of Kyoto” and a World Heritage Site dubbed by UNESCO, followed by a walk through its mystical bamboo forest. Your visit will include a trip to one of the most important parts of the city. You will see the magnificent Shinto Shrine of Fushimi Inari, the Imperial Palace, and Kinkakuji Temple, the “Golden Pavilion” and its glorious gardens.
